Being part of a Youth Club provides Children and Youth an open environment filled with peers and minimal supervision/ regulation in order to facilitate self-discovery of one's strengths and areas of growth while being themselves. We believe an independent and open environment - unlike the usual schooling system that is highly supervised, is important for personality development and self-control in the longer run
TYC provides Children and Youth a platform for developing, advancing and demonstrating Leadership, Communication, Organizational skills irrespective of the Child/ Youth's Tamil language skills
Community Connection: The reading club creates a sense of connection among members of the group who speak Tamil. This provides a supportive environment for kids who want to improve their Tamil skills
Language Development: Regularly reading and participating in the youth club can improve member's language skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary and language fluency.
Knowledge and Awareness: Members can gain knowledge about various topics including history, culture, and folklore. This gives them a deeper understanding of their Tamil heritage.
